My work in the Academy is

to serve My first Calling to the local church in a deeper way

  • Conviction

The local church is the most important institution in the world. My teaching life serves my ministry life, as my ministry life serves my teaching life.

Serving as the Assisting Priest at Redeemer Anglican Church in Asheville, NC.

  • passion

I love equipping the local church to do the work of ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ (Eph 4.12). If interested, please reach out, and I’d be honored to see how I could serve your church through teaching, preaching, retreats, or some other way.

  • Why Anglicanism?

Loving and leaving the tradition that raised me.

When the idea of changing traditions came to me, I thought I was too smart to switch.

  • This is how one should regard us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.

    1 Corinthians 4.1

  • Preach Christ. Die. Be Forgotten.

  • For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.

    Galatians 1.10

  • If he refused to condemn you because your works were rotten, he certainly isn’t going to flunk you because your faith isn’t so hot. You can fail utterly, therefore, and still love the life of grace. You can fold up spiritually, morally, or intellectually, and still be safe. Because at the very worst, all you can be is dead—and for him who is the Resurrection and the Life, that just makes you his cup of tea.
